Major Site Changes

Hey again everyone. You may have noticed the new main picture at the top of this page. Isn't it awesome? :) It's the same I am going to be using for a Site-Ad (*the box with various news at the main-page) back at the Nwvault.

Its the same picture I had featured before but this shows a lot more of the portrait. It's called "The Elephants" and was painted by Salvador Dali many, MANY years ago. His paintings are very surreal and it fits the the theme of horror very well, I think. Thus it fits pretty well for this site. :)

You may also notice some other differences. Below the angel-picture to your right you'll now see a Visitor statistics-counter. It'll be pretty cool to see how many people actually read this stuff. ;) And if you scroll up a bit again, past the Berra Productions (YouTube Movies) - item, you'll see another new item. You can choose to become one of my devoted fans by choosing to follow my blog there if you like. It'd be highly appriciated. :) And finally, if you scroll down you'll see that I've updated the "Other NWN1 & 2 - Author Blogs/Sites". I think it looks a lot better this way and now you can see what their newest posts are about (its now written below the site-name for each blog).

I think that's about it. Hope you'll all enjoy the changes. I personally enjoy the blog a lot more now and I think it looks a lot better. :)

EDIT: I resized the title-picture a bit since I agree with my fellow poster here, "zoltan" (Archon), that it was a little too large. Thanks for the advice man! :) Be sure to learn from him, people! :D

Berra out.

  1. Hmm. I studied a lot of practical design. The huge pic at the top, cool as it may be, is not practical. It keeps people away from the important content of the blog. You could consider cropping and downsizing it (cut out the elephants and move them appart, while lowering the height of the pic). And setting up a good color palette.
The links are definetly more readable now, and I like the little additions.

Hmm... in order to follow your blog, I have to have a blogger account. I guess I'll make one later. Busy DSG-ing now.

Salvador Dali... Since I saw his first picture - "The Persistence of Memory" (the one with the melting clocks) he has been a sort of a role model for me. In each of his pictures, the shading is simply amazing. Died the same year when I was born... ok, enough ranting.

And we'll see about the voice acting. Much of the time, it's really noisy around the house, so it will be a chore to find a good place... I'll probably send you something, though...

  2. I decided to heed your advice Archon and have resized the picture a bit. It was really cool but I actually agree, now when you mentioned it, that it was a little too large. :) But I'll be using the old pic for the Site-Ad back at the vault so its not completely lost. ;) It actually looks a lot better with more of the read-color instead of including the yellow parts as well.

Yeah, Dali is really cool and his pictures are extremely well done and has a lot of depth. :)

Looking forward to any voice-clips if you'd decide to send me some. :)

  3. Hey, man, no problem. Also, if you have any special ideas that you might find difficult (not questioning your skill here :P) you can contact me. I actually have several design outlays that I made sitting around the hard drive and collecting dust. You reminded me I should upload them somewhere. Simply as a showcase.

DSG is on a short little break now, since I want to do some other stuff as well (mostly art). And maybe find some sort of a comic comunity where to submit DSG... hmm...

  4. Of course man, I'll be sure to turn to you if I'd need any help. :) Yeah, you should definetly upload your other stuff! At least I would be interested in seeing them and I reckon there is a lot of other who would as well. ;)

Mmm -- art is good! :D Hmm ... when it comes to art-communities ... perhaps deviantart.com would be a suitable community? I'm not a member myself but I have visited it more than once and there is some greatly talented people there.

Oooh -- when you mentioned "art" I just have to check -- have you made any progress with the SH art? Really looking forward to it, man. "Really". ;)

    Later,

  5. I've been eyeing DeviantArt for a while... dunno. Maybe. I'm not sure would I fit there, what with all that jaw-dropping art there...

But what I ment was some sort of a list of all web-comics. And to put DSG up there. You gets.

SH art? Progress? I completely forgot!

Just kidding. I have made progress, but am right now messing with some cool texturing techs. Developing me own style, laddy. So I can't really guarantee when it will be done. I just get so lost in the experiments I make, time flies by.

NWN2: I'm back! & NWN1 Progress

Hey again everyone. I installed NWN2 again on my computer today. I've only had the original NWN installed until now ... but, since I'd try getting something done for the BouncyRock- Halloween Event I figured it'd be best to install it again and finally getting started. I've actually been missing the game now when I think of it. :D I also downloaded and printed ( ! ) Gilthonym's "Don't Panic: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the NWN2 toolset" . It is really useful, easy to understand, easy to read and all in all ... avery well done document! It's about 132 pages ( !!!! ) (but not that much text on each page , thankfully) so now you may figure how devoted I am to finally learning the NWN2-toolset . ;) Now when it comes to the progress of my current projects for NWN1 : I've not been able to work that much on Insania Fabula but I have done a REALLY LARGE portion of a conversation that introduces various main-characters . I've decided t...
