Woah -- a DOUBLE POST DAY?! Yeah.

Hi again, long time, eh? ;)  Just wanted to tell ya that I just submitted my Memorial Stone to the Sea of Stars Kickstarter game .  What's a memorial stone, you ask? Well, as a backer of the game (which I am) on specific backer tiers, you got the opportunity to design a grave stone with text that will be placed in a crypt within the game. I pondered for awhile what my memorial stone text would be and then it hit me -- of course, my NWN-modules needs to be honored. I mean, these modules are also ours (yeah, I mean you ;) ), since you too have a relationship to them after having played them. So, in a way, this memorial stone honors the memory of the adventures we've shared together in the NWN-modules that I created, for both you and me to enjoy. 💗 Here's how the memorial stone (with it's text) is going to look like  within the game : Sea of Stars is heavily inspired by Chrono Trigger and other similar 90s RPGs, so if that's your cup of tea, then be sure to wishlist ...

Gagne's Arcade

Hey everyone :) This week during the evenings I've been playing Stefan Gagne's Arcade Spirits . It's a cozy visual novel game that focuses on the arcade culture (shocker: the game even takes place in an arcade!). If you're familiar with Stefan Gagne's previous games or novels, then you're in for a treat -- in case you don't know who he is, he's the one who created The HeX Coda Neverwinter Nights module (among others). The HeX Coda, is one of my all-time favorite NWN-modules, btw! ^_^ Have a nice weekend, guys and gals, Birger out. 👊

Havssalt ;)

My swedish pals at YCJY Games (they also made The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human ) just released their latest game, inspired by Lovecraft ian horror! I'm a Kickstarter Backer for both this game, and for The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human, so I'd really appriciate it if you'd like to check out their new game . :) Here's the Steam description: Sea Salt is a dark fantasy reverse horror action-strategy game where you play as the nightmarish force of Dagon by controlling and growing a horde of minions. Birger out. 👊

Chorus!

Did you know, that one of Bioware's leadwriters for Dragon Age, David Gaider , no longer works at Bioware? Do you know why, this necessarily isn't a bad thing anymore? Because he and some collegues of his, has formed a new studio called Summarfall Studios , that recently released a crowdfunding campaign for their first game (the name which you can guess from the titel of this post) -- Chorus! I love Gaider's work, so I just decided to become a backer, myself. 😊 Can you guess the genre for this game? Well, since it's Gaider, you can start by checking RPG , that's a given. Awesomely written dialog and dialog choices? Check. Romance? Check. But can you giess  what the main genre is? They've actually invented a completely new genre ---  adventure musical . Check out Chorus, watch the trailer and read more on Fig (and maybe become a Backer, just like I did?) Birger out. 👊

A Better World & The Lonely Wolf

Here's a TED-Talk that I stumbled upon during my current education -- I highly recommend it! The title speaks for itself, I think... ;) Gaming can make a better world Ever heard of the Lone Wolf gamebooks , created by   Joe Dever?   I'd like to recommend you the  Lone Wolf Nintendo DS games (the first five gamebooks have DS games so far) created by Frédéric Calendini . These are homebrews, so you'll need a modded DS (you'll find instructions on the website). Have a nice weekend, guys and gals! 😄 Birger out. 👊

A Completely New Detective!

5 years ago, I became a backer of the mystery-adventure game Jenny LeClue and this thursday -- is the game's RELEASE DATE!  Here's some links if you'd like to check out the game yourself: Steam Twitter Youtube Facebook Birger out. 👊

What is "Solasta"?

You like Baldur's Gate , or any similar RPG? Would you like to have those same feelings again but at the same time, feel something new? Maybe you'd like to be able to... jump? Would you like to... create your own party? With full  VOICE ACTING? I was just thinking about you 😉, so lets share this Kickstarter game , then: Solasta: Crown of the Magister Do you know what the best part is? There's a DEMO (you'll find it in the link above 👆)! 😎 Birger out. 👊

European Union - Let's vote!

It's friiiday-time! 😜 I'd like to start by saying: if you, like me, live in the European Union, please make sure to vote! Me and my girlfriend prevoted this thursday. We voted for our climate and for future generations, first and foremost. It would make me really happy, if you would do that too. 💚 I've just reached the last world on Bloo Kid 1 . I really dig that game. 😁 Yeah, I know I talked about this game last week, but it sure deserves it. 😉 Another game that I really dig is Yuppie Psycho . It's a pixelated, puzzlefilled, horror-adventure-game, with an anime feel to it. Here's the game's description from steam: "Join Brian Pasternack on his first day at one of the world’s largest companies, Sintracorp. Uncertain, unprepared, and massively unqualified, will Pasternack have what it takes to shine in Sintracorp’s hierarchy? It all depends on how he performs on his first assignment… and whether he survives it." I've been playing ...

Wedding Incoming...

This week I don't have that much to talk about. It's been a tough week with a full-focus on my interaction design course . Observations, interviews and report-writing. 👀 Tomorrow, my sister is getting married! Woah! She's three years younger than me. It feels really unreal that one of my siblings is getting married. Let's wish them the best of luck! 😍 Just remembered... I'm playing Bloo Kid on Android right now. 😤 I love it! It's a platformer, like Mario, but it takes place on one screen at a time. I feel very nostalgic while playing it. 😏 Maybe you'd like it too? The game also has a sequel, that plays just like a regular Mario-game. Are you into typography?  In case you are, I'd like to recommend this website . It showcases Google Font Pairings, that fit really well together. Typography is a big part of my Digital Design education.  SPOTLIGHT-TIME: This week, another of my fellow students, Miranda , asked to have her instagram ...

Spleen-Power

It's bloggin' tiiiime! 😜 This week of Digital Design has been pretty tough, to be honest. I've had two bigger examinations (exams) and one re-examination. Right now, I'm studying Graphic design for websites and Interaction design and creativity . Even though it's been tough, it's also been fun. 😀 I always feel very satisfied after having submitted a larger project. And tired. Very. Tired. 😫 I'm glad it's weekend now. 😉 I'd like to share with you a Kickstarter-project for a 2D action RPG & Persona style game  that I came across earlier this week, called Spleen . I really love the artstyle and music for this one! The game reminds me of Kingdom Hearts , a lot. The game-developers has also made  hand-painted watercolor backgrounds!  😍 So, if you have some spare cash, then I'd recommend helping these guys out! I'm going to do that myself, actually. 🙆 SPOTLIGHT-TIME: This week one of my fellow students, William Mauritzso...

"Wanderer" - A mix of RPG & Platformer // Mass Effect- & Another World-ish Gameplay

If you, like me, love the Mass Effect series and various Platformers ( Another World is mentioned as inspiration ) -- do yourself a favor and check out Red Cloak Games' game " Wanderer " ! They are currently on their FINAL WEEK back on Kickstarter so if you like what you see at their Kickstarter page - be sure to back them, like I did! :) HURRY THOUGH , only 5 DAYS LEFT as I'm writing this. I'm looking forward to the game immensly. ^_^ Birger out.

Help Swedish Kickstarter Guys (URGENT - ENDS THURSDAY JUNE 18TH OF 2015)!

Two cool Swedish guys are making a Retro-Style-, Pixelated Underwater game in the spirit of the Metroid games . It's called " The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human " (yeah, long title I know. ;) ). Gameplay focus lies on Epic Underwater Boss-Battles, Upgrades and Exploration.  (Exploration) (Teaser-pics of some of the bosses featured in the game) (Upgrade Example) They only have 6 DAYS LEFT TO REACH THEIR KICKSTARTER GOAL - so please check out their game at their Kickstarter page and back it or spread their kickstarter link on all of your social-medias ! :D

Out of the Window!

Hey everyone! :) I decided to uninstall NWN2 a couple of days ago ( thus the name of the titl e of this post ) since I haven't played it in ages and I can't keep a game with infinite mods like that anymore since I hardly get time for playing regular games these days. Instead I'm setting my eyes on some new games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect ( which I still haven't completed ). I haven't uninstalled NWN1 yet but that is mainly because I've got some voice-acting projects coming along on that platform. It's just so I'll be able to go through the dialog in the toolset . But ... I'll probably uninstall it soon as well. But before that , I'm currently trying to play through God of War II for the PS3 ( yes, it's the c ollection I'm talking about, both the first and second game in the same pack ). The first game was awesome and my brother's been telling me that part two is even better. Looking forward to it. :) I'll still kee...

The Origins of the Dragon ...

Hey everyone. I downloaded and bought Bioware's latest RPG Dragon Age through Steam a couple of days ago. I haven't played it yet and don't know when I'll find the time to since I have a bunch of games that I'd like to finish off first BUT -- at least I own it now. :) I think this game will open up a new modding-commu nity similar to the one we now have at the nwvault and soon we'll hopefully be seeing some really nice looking modules coming out for us to download. It think we ha ve an awesome time ahead of us people! :P If you've played the game and like to give me and my readers your view of the story/gameplay feel free to let us know! Just NO SPOILERS , OK? Berra out.

What has Berra been playing?

Good question. ;) I've not played NWN for a long time now but I have bought Mysteries of Westgate which I plan to finish sometime in the future. I'm currently on vacation so I'm hoping to finish some of the games that I've not had the time to finish while working. My attention has been fixed more on console games . I've been playing both Playstation 3 and XBox360 and to be honest I've not had that good expecations on the latter before I actually started using it ... and now think it's pretty awesome. :) The mayor differences between the two is that, while using Xbox360 , you have to PAY for playing online . Which I don't really like. While on the PS3 you can play for free . Strange, huh? But I guess it has to do with that Xbox360 has a more wider range of multiplayer games. The games I've played are the following: Assassins Creed (Xbox360), Legendary (PS3), The Darkness (PS3), Gears of War (Xbox360), Banjo Kazzoie "Nuts and Bolts...

Mods for the Masses and/or Successor?

Hey again everyone and long time no read . ;) I've answered all you comments now back at the previous post , so if you know you've commented there be sure to go back there and read what the replies I've given you . :) So ... what has I been up to , you ask? Well, it's been mostly work (my real-life work that is) ... a lot of battery creation there, since I work on a company called S.a.f.t. which creates larger batteries used in backups or hospitals or other larges constuctions . But I've also played a couple of games and watched a couple of animes with my siblings. :) I've been playing The Darkness & Condemned 2 for Playstation 3 and they're both awesome games. The latter really chills your bones, so if you enjoy horror you should give it a try. It's one of the scarier games I've played to date ... Doom3 is one of the scariest I've played and C2 actually manages to surpass that one ... in my opinion. :) I'm currently playing...
